May was a month full of excitement and busyness as I delved deeper into my passion for creating comics. Creating comics is a challenging yet rewarding process requiring much time and dedication. However, it’s also an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I’m thrilled to be able to share my progress with you. As a web designer, I had a lot of work leading up to finals week and some website jobs, but I always set aside time for my true passion: comics.
I am thrilled to announce that Siblings of Steel, my latest sci-fi mystery webcomic, has officially launched its first issue! The website, Siblings-of-Steel.CallumQuinnCreates.com, is now live and is hosting the comic in not just one but two formats! The vertical scroll format is perfect for readers who love to continuously scroll, while the page format is for those who prefer a more traditional approach.
But that’s not all! Siblings of Steel is available on various platforms, including Webtoons, Tapas, Reddit, and Twitter. You can find it on the CallumQuinnCreates and Siblings of Steel Twitter accounts. No matter where you are, you can easily access the comic and join the action.
Preparing for the launch was no easy task, but we did it, and the result is simply incredible. The response from readers has been excellent, and I couldn’t be happier. But I’m not stopping here. I will continue to work hard and deliver more exciting content for you. So head over to Siblings-of-Steel.CallumQuinnCreates.com or any other platforms mentioned, and immerse yourself in the world of Siblings of Steel.
Writing is an art, and I want to share my experiences. In addition to the main website and the comic, I have a blog where I’ll share cool stuff about the writing process. So, check out the blog and subscribe to stay up-to-date with all the latest news and updates.
The launch of Siblings of Steel has been an incredible journey, and I’m so happy to have you all along for the ride. The fact that the comic is available on so many platforms is simply fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Thank you for your support, and let’s continue to make Siblings of Steel a success!
As a creator, it’s essential to have an audience that appreciates and enjoys your content. The feedback I received from readers was incredibly encouraging and motivating. Knowing that people want my work makes all the effort I put into it worthwhile. It’s also a great motivator to keep pushing myself to create even better content in the future.
In addition to the success of Siblings of Steel issue one, I’ve made fantastic progress on issue two. During April, I spent considerable time writing the script, creating some awesome concept art, and even starting on thumbnails! I’ve also spent much time fleshing out the world-building for the series. This will undoubtedly be useful in the future and make the storytelling richer and more engaging for readers. But it doesn’t stop there.
I’m thrilled to report that I’ve already begun working on the script for issue three! This means I’m way ahead of the game when planning future issues. It’s so important to stay ahead of the curve when creating comics. I can maintain a consistent release schedule and keep readers engaged. My progress on Siblings of Steel and my other projects have filled me with positivity and excitement for the future.
I started a new series of essays exclusively for my Patreon members. This series, which I call “The Granular Guide to Creating Comics,” is aimed at helping new comic creators take their work to the next level, based on my experience establishing a good workflow when I first started making comics in 2019. The series will cover various topics, including developing characters, writing scripts, creating concept art, choosing a style, and promoting your work. Each post will delve into a specific topic, providing detailed and actionable advice for readers.
The first post will go out on May 15, and I’m excited to share my knowledge and help others in the comics community. The comics community is strongest when creators support one another, share knowledge, and work together to create unique stories. I know how difficult it can be to navigate the world of comics, especially when you’re just starting out. That’s why I’m committed to helping others achieve their creative goals.
I’ve spent a lot of time developing this series, and it will be a valuable resource for anyone who wants to create comics. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, there’s always something new to learn. I’m excited to share my experience and help others achieve their creative goals. We can create amazing stories that inspire and entertain people worldwide by working together.
I’m committed to providing high-quality content for my Patreon members and will release new posts regularly. I encourage my readers to engage with me and ask questions; I’m always happy to help. Whether you’re struggling with a particular aspect of comic creation or need general advice, I’m here to support you. Together, we can create amazing stories and make the world more exciting.
Overall, April was a productive month, and I’m thrilled with my progress on various projects. As a creator, staying motivated and working hard is essential, even when the going gets tough. With Siblings of Steel’s successful launch and my Patreon series’s upcoming release, I am excited to see what the future holds.
I look forward to continuing to pursue my passion for creating comics and sharing my work with the world.
All the best —
